Jon Salvador Gascon was born and raised in San Jose, California. He has called Las Vegas home since 1996. As a Graphic Designer for over 25 years, his affinity for the arts has always been part of life. In 2006, he began to explore visual art as a way dealing with stress and anxiety.

 

In 2013, he began to share his work with family and friends. The positive response he received from posting his work on social media encouraged him to share his drawings with the rest of the world.

 

In 2014, he participated in First Friday and other arts and crafts fairs for the first time. He is an abstract artist creating pieces that reflect feelings and vivid dreams. The kind of dreams where you feel helpless and lost in, but things and surroundings still seem familiar. Where there are known faces, elements, and locations, but they seem a little off-kilter. Trying to find meaning and learning from his dreams and putting his interpretations on paper is an obsession. He strongly believes in artistic expression as a way of healing the mind and spirit.
